Yudhishthira didn't know how to stop Bhishma but Krishna revealed that Bhishma cannot kill a woman. So Arjuna goes and finds Sikhandin, who was born a woman and made a male by a yaksha. Bhishma then challenged Arjuna but during the fight, Sikhandin popped up and Bhishma cannot kill a woman so he was fazed and then Arjuna killed him. While Bhishma was dying, he tried to tell Duryodhana and Karna to stop the fighting but they didn't listen to him
Drona replaces Bhishma and takes command of Duryodhana's armies. He promises to make Yudhishthira his prisoner and Arjuna promises to defend Yudhishthira. Then they banter for a little bit.
Drona then creates a battle formation that no one has seen before so Yudhishthira send's Arjuna's 15 yr old son to break the formation. He did but then Jayadratha, a brother in law of the Pandavas, follow him and close off the opening so Arjuna's son ended up dying and now Arjuna is big mad. He promised to kill Jayadratha or else he would kill himself but Jayadratha was heavily guarded. Krishna then creates an eclipse so Jayadratha thinks it's nighttime and since Arjuna failed to kill him, he thought Arjuna had killed himself. Arjuna then reveals the plan and kills Jayadratha.
Drona continues fighting but the Pandavas knew his weakness was his only son Ashvatthama. So Bhima kills an elephant named Ashvatthama and told Drona. Drona asked Krishna if he was telling the truth and Krishna tricked him and said yes he killed Ashvatthama but said "the elephant" under his breath so Drona lets himself be killed.
Karna fights Arjuna but his chariot gets swallowed up by the earth because of a curse. He then tries to use his ultimate weapon but he can't remember the magic words. He then remembers another curse where he will forget his ultimate weapon's words at the time he most need it. He then asks Arjuna if he would kill an unarmed man and Krishna says that Karna didn't have any honor either so too bad so Arjuna kills Karna.
In the end everyone kinda dies.
